Design Specifications For Manufacturing An Armorbelt® Conveyor

Specifications Needed When Ordering Armorbelt® Steel Top Conveyor
When ordering or requesting a price for an Armorbelt® standard, vertical or special conveyor please specify the following information. If possible include a drawing or sketch of what your project entails.
  • Max unit load i.e. the heaviest single item to be conveyed
  • Max total load on belt/conveyor at one time
  • Desired belt width. For conveying odd shaped items add extra space on each side
  • Overall conveyor length
  • Height of conveyor ± 3" from floor to top of the belt
  • Belt speed, variable, constant, indexed
  • Electrical needs: voltage, phase, and frequency
  • What are you conveying? Describe item size, weight, and shape.
  • How is it loaded and unloaded
  • Will there be any cleats or fixtures bolted or welded to the conveyor belt
  • Describe Environment. Temperature range, impacts, dust, moisture, abrasion, corrosive or other unusual conditions to which Armorbelt® will be subjected
  • Special controls needed
  • Drive motor requirements: standard open, totally enclosed, explosion proof
  • Drive motor on the right or left hand side, or inside
  • Preferred direction of travel, towards motor or away
For concave, convex, or vertical conveyors please include a drawing or sketch with all angels in degrees and height and length of each section.
