News About New Robotics & Robot Wheels Section

May 8, 2006

Robot Wheels, Information on Mounting Wheels, Robotic Competitions Football palying robots that use Transwheels.

Growing Popularity of Robotics

With the growing popularity of Robotics, the Kornylak Corporation has seen a growing demand for multi-directional wheels. Robot enthusiasts are choosing Kornylak wheels because of their multi-directional maneuverability, durability, and cost efficiency.

Request for Information on Robotics

With a growing number of requests for information on mounting wheels, robot sites, competitions, and resources, the Kornylak Corporation has created a new section just for robotics. It provides information on robot wheels, mounting wheels, robot competitions, robot resources and general robotics information.

Two Robotic Wheels Offered Kornylak offer Transwheels and Omniwheels as robot wheels.

Transwheel, Omnidirectional Robot Wheels, Powered Bi Directional Wheels

The design of the Transwheel is what sets it apart from the competition. The unique feature of that design consists of eight free-turning rollers positioned at 90 degrees to the axle around the Transwheel periphery. Combine this movement, provided by these rollers, with the rotation of the wheel body, and the robot can move in any direction. This special wheel has met the goals and expectations of robot hobbyists around the world.

Omniwheel, Multidirectional Robot Wheels, Powered Robot Wheels

Omniwheel also has many great qualities worth mentioning. The multi directional movement of the Omniwheel also comes from its unique design. The two-part Omniwheel design is based upon the use of a series of free turning barrel-shaped rollers, which are mounted, in a staggered pattern around the periphery of a larger diameter main wheel. The combination of these two rolling elements provides a compact and inexpensive unit for moving heavier, more massive robots in any direction. The Omniwheel is featured in bodies made of plastic, or of heavy duty aluminum.

Kornylak's commitment to quality designed wheels has provided Robot enthusiasts with superior products in the world of robotics.
